My Ex-marine Friend's Journey in Life - Dojo Muscle
Let me tell you a quick story.

A friend of mine owned lots of real estate at one time.

    He was seriously wealthy.

Around the time of the real estate bubble, he lost everything.

His multi-million dollar business was reduced to dust in a matter of a few months.

He was an ex-marine, so he's tough as nails. But this brought him to his knees.

His mom passed around the same time so he was faced with a bunch of heartaches at once.

He's one of my closest friends.

Ive never once heard him complain. About anything.

I forgot to mention, the first week out of the military, back from the core, he was racing down Coney Island Ave in Brooklyn, New York.

Seated on his Kawasaki Ninja 650 motorcycle, he decided to pull a wheelie.

A car was pulling out of the driveway, that did not see him, and he didn't see the car because he was pointed towards the sky in a wheelie position exhilarated with life, adrenalin and endorphins.

    In a split second.

He hit the car and was thrown head first over the bike, over the car, and landed on the concrete.

He broke his lumbar spine in multiple places.

Which left him with a terrible limp through out his life.

Yet never one single time, have I heard him complain about anything in life.

I very rarely complain as well.

But sometimes I will talk about aches or pains and he will literally just give me a look that says it all.

    "Are you kidding me?!"

I quickly am reminded to be grateful for the simple things in life.

But this always reminds me of something else my grandfather told me.

You can't ever see what life throws at you.

Like you can't see what the pitcher is throwing because his hand is covered by his glove.

But how you handle those things means everything in life.

Sometimes you do get the chance to SEE what the future holds.

It is in those times you must seize the moment.

We are seeing the ridge and edge of where marketing is going. We know it lies in videos. In story telling.

In stories like these, that captivate people and touch their hearts.

I told you this story to show you the power of story telling in your marketing.

It is in those stories where people are reminded how we are all able to change the world in our own little way.

How we are all really connected. Content is how you connect with others. Through story.

Just like our ancestors did around campfires.

Content is how you build your business.

We see it, we know it.

When you see it and you know it, it is your duty to seize the moment.

Start making content and telling stories of your students and how their lives have been transformed.
